V0.02.4 Classes Released – IMPORTANT UPDATE
We have just released 0.02.4:
This is a very important release to ensure that AIR 2.0 has no adverse effects on your applications when it is released. We suggest you update to the latest version of Air Analytics Classes:0.02.4
The new set of AS3 classes which can be found in the downloads section in the web interface.

This is just a post to say a huge thanks to all you early adopters out there. We have had some had some amazing positive feedback from your guys about Air Analytics which makes me only want to try harder to get more features and better systems in to Air Analytics for you.
Looking back on this year it has been crazy mixed with allot of fun. I thought that you guys might enjoy the story of how Air Analytics came about.
As you know by reading my about page I have been living in London for the last couple of years with my lovely now fiancé Kelly. Well at the beginning of this year we had saved enough money to buy a van called Charlie, take 4 months off and drive around Europe, we saw some of the most amazing sites, visited some great places and meet wonderful people as we traveled round.
As we were packing to leave on our 4 months journey into the unknown, I (in my infinite wisdom) decided not to take to many books as for some reason I thought we wouldn’t have much time to do any reading or such crazy things on a holiday where we were sitting on beaches and generally relaxing… Kelly on the other hand was well clued up and pretty much brought a library with her which I scoffed at. Well about 3 weeks into the trip I had finished all my books and lets just mine and Kelly’s book tastes differ wildly so I couldn’t even get past the first chapter on almost all of her books. So while she was reading some times I would just start to ponder… turns out i couldn’t find the meaning of life so I started to ponder things that maybe I could solve.
After a while I remembered when I was trying to find an Analytics solution to the AIR app I was writing. And for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why there wasn’t one out there. I figured that well if there isn’t one out there I would write one for myself… at this stage I had no plan to make it into the app it is today, this was just going to be something that I used for myself. But I didn’t jump into writing it straight away, after all I still was on holiday for a few more months. But most days I would work it all over in my head.
I distinctly remember sitting in a campground in Spain at night with it bucketing down outside Kelly was reading her book, I was pondering again and suddenly it all just clicked. I could see how it would all work and fit together. So I got out my note book and wrote everything down. The rest as they say is history… from there on out when we were parked and chilling out I would plan, develop and trail my new app (yes I’m a geek).
By the time we had finished our trip I had a working system that was rough but worked. It wasn’t till I got back and was explaining what I had built that a friend said that he had a need for an app like App Analytics, I said I can set you up with an account and you can have a play with it… App Analytics was born.
Since we have got back from our trip and I decide to release this bad boy into the wild the real work started, it has been quite usual for me to work all day and then come home and work way in the early hours of the morning and then again on the weekend trying to get bugs fixed, running support, making improvements, and developing infrastructure.
But as I said before, all your words of encouragement and great feedback on issues has made the process allot more enjoyable and easier. I also have to say a HUGE thanks to my long suffering fiancé who has put up with all this and all my other crazy ideas along the way. With out her support we wouldn’t be were we are today.

Retrieve Password Issues
[Edit]: This has now been resloved.
It has been raised with us that in out last update the retrieve password functionality has stopped working. We are currently looking into this and getting the issues resolved.
In the mean time if you have have forgotten your password and cant login please email us and let us know we will confirm your details and reassign a new password to you.

Read MoreMap Overlays
Over the last few months we have been working on a solution and scalable infrastructure to provide a visual feedback on usage around the world. We are proud to say that we have just made the first release of the map overlay feature to the bleeding edge version of Air Analytics.
The map overlay is located in the usage section of the web interface. Currently the overlay is only reporting on which countries the application has been installed and how many times. With the core infrastructure in place we will now be concentrating on extended to other reports such as usage ect… A full data read out and filtering system will also be added. For live we have also ramped up our location lookups to 1500000 per hour which should be more than enough to give real-time feedback within the current system.
Note: This feature is still in its infancy and will be receiving a large amount of updates over the following weeks before it is moved to the production site.
1 Million Items Tracked
Woot we have just smashed past 1 million items tracked.
We are absolutely amazed at the take up of Air Analytics and would jut like to say a huge thanks to all you guys for believing in our product, taking a chance with a beta and helping us with all your wicked feedback.

So over the last few weeks we have been busy architecting, planning and developing the next version of Air Analytics. We posted a few sneaky screen shots here if you missed it.
The next release is still a few weeks away but don’t worry we will update you with release dates closer to the time. The new release is a huge leap in a new direction for Air Analytics and web applications in general.
We have also made some minor tweaks to the web interface over the last few weeks. A few bugs were fixed that you guys brought to us and also the caching issues that some of you reported have been fixed as well. Thanks again for your feedback and keep it coming.
P.S we are so really close to cracking the 1 million items tracked barrier. WOOT
On another note I also got engage to my lovely girl friend in Denmak last weekend. Which I have to say that I couldn’t be more stoked about. YAY Im glad she said yes… :)
Tracking more than 1/2 a million items
As of a few days ago Air Analytics is tracking more than 1/2 a million items. This is one of our mile stones and we have surpassed it in half the time that we expected which is fantastic.
We are so glad that you guys are using the product and finding is useful.
On another note you may have noticed we have slowed down on the web interface dev this is because we are focusing on the desktop version of Air Analtyics. Also soon we will be switching servers and DB step to cope with expected future demand on our systems. And on that note here is a sneak preview of the application look.
As mentioned before we will still have a web interface but it will be limited compared to the tasks that the Desktop Reporting tool can perform.
